21세기를 대표하는 팝스타, 케이티 페리의 신곡이다.

이미 5월달에 싱글로 선공개된 적이 있었지만

한달 전에 발매된 케이티의 5집 "Witness" 앨범에 수록되었다고 한다.

장르는 팝과 일렉트로닉이 만난 일렉트로팝(ElectroPop)이다.

필자는 앨범은 커녕 신곡이 나온 줄도 몰랐는데

일단 개인적으로 Bon Appetit보다는 괜찮은 듯 하다.

Bon Appetit는 진짜 뮤직비디오도 그렇고 뭔가 이해할 수 없는 스타일..

솔직하게 말하자면 뮤비는 그럭저럭 눈호강해서 좋았지만

노래가 완전히 필자의 취향을 벗어나는 노래여서 듣고 완전히 실망했던 적이 있다.

하지만 Swish Swish는 필자가 좋아하는 EDM, 그것도 딥 하우스 스타일이라 맘에 든다.

딥 하우스 베이스에 감각적인 느낌을 잘 살린 것 같다.

아메리칸 래퍼 '니키 니마즈'의 날카로운 랩핑도 빼놓을 수 없는 부분.

개인적으로 딥 하우스 베이스와 더불어 랩 파트가 특히 진가를 발휘하는 부분이라고 생각한다.

딥 하우스와 니키 미나즈를 둘 다 좋아하는 필자에게는 너무나도 만족하는 음악이다.

들리는 소문에 의하면 이 노래가 테일러 스위프트의 디스곡이라는 설이 있는데 사실인지는 모르겠다.

테일러 스위프트가 이미 Bad Blood라는 역대급(?) 디스곡을 먼저 공개하긴 했는데..

아마 Bad Blood의 맞디스곡일지도?
