2014년 미국의 얼터너티브 락 밴드 'Imagine Dragons'가 불렀던 Warriors.

2015년은 바이 로그인송을 불렀던 가수 'Nicki Taylor'의 Worlds Collide.

2016년에는 EDM계의 유명한 독일 프로듀서 'Zedd'의 Ignite.

그리고 2017년 올해는 미국의 팝 락 밴드 ATC가 롤드컵 주제가를 부르게 되었다.

주게가의 제목은 Legends Never Die. (전설은 죽지 않아요)

필자는 ATC 노래들 중에 Guessing이라는 곡을 제일 좋아한다.

데뷔하고 이때까지 많은 노래들을 내긴 했지만

사실 자신들이 냈던 노래들 보다는 '커버곡'으로 많은 유명세를 치렀던 분들이다.

그리고 여성 보컬이 노래를 잘 부른다는 점도 있지만

외모가 정말 미친 수준이라는 이유로 또 다른 유명세를 가지고 있다.

개인적으로 이때까지 공개된 롤드컵 음악 중에서는

2015년도 주제가였던 Worlds Collide를 가장 좋아한다.

Worlds Collide도 이번에 나온 ATC의 노래처럼 얼터너티브에 속하는데

그래서 그런지 이번 롤드컵 주제곡도 필자의 취향을 단번에 저격시켰다.

처음에는 잔잔한 분위기로 시작하며 하이라이트 구간의 "Legends never die~♪",

그리고 그 뒤로 흘러나오는 드럼 연주는 정말 말로 표현할 수 없는 전율이 느껴진다.

Worlds Collide와 비슷한 분위기지만 좀 더 락에 가까운 얼터너티브 음악.

이제 곧 며칠이 지나면 롤 유저들의 축제인 롤드컵 시즌으로 들어서게 되는데

생각보다 주제곡이 다소 늦게 공개된 것 같다.

게다가 작년에는 뮤직비디오까지 공개했는데 올해는 없으려나?

아무튼 롤충으로서 이번 롤드컵은 정말정말 기대된다.

필자가 좋아하는 롱주와 삼성이 같이 올라가다니 꿈인지 생시인지... ;-;
