필자가 정말정말 사랑하고 아끼는 프로듀서이자 프랑스 출신의 뮤지션,

Besnine의 누 디스코(Nu Disco) 음악이다.

누디스코는 이 블로그에서 처음으로 포스팅하는 장르인데

누디스코라는 장르에 대해 간략하게 설명해보자면

디스코나 펑크의 요소를 차용한 그루브한 스타일의 장르라고 할 수 있다.

하우스같은 장르에 비하면 템포가 느린 것이 일반적인 특징이며

인디 댄스(Indie Dance)라는 장르와 유사하다는 점이 있지만

인디 댄스는 누 디스코와 다르게 그루브한 스타일이 아닌

청량하고 공간감이 있는 스타일이 주를 이루는 장르다.

물론 유튜브나 비트포트같은 사이트에서 검색해보면

인디 댄스와 누 디스코를 장르를 같이 묶어서 취급하는 경우도 많다.

이 노래에서도 청량감보다는 그루브감이 느껴지는 걸로 보아

인디댄스가 아닌 누디스코 장르가 맞다고 볼 수 있다.

특히나 흥겨운 일렉 기타와 비트가 참 기분 좋은 그루브를 느끼게 해준다.

노래 제목때문인지 아니면 앨범 아트 때문인지는 모르지만

왠지 이 노래를 들으면 네온 사인이 가득한 도시의 모습이 괜시리 떠오른다.

늦은 저녁, 밝게 빛나는 네온 사인 아래 거리를 걷는 듯한 느낌?

아무튼 참 '도시의 감성'이 온몸으로 느껴지는 음악.
