우리의 영원한 랩갓 Eminem이 발매한 9집 정규 앨범 'Revival'의 수록곡이다.
River는 이번 신보의 5번째 트랙이라고 한다.
에미넴 신보가 최근에 나온지도 몰랐는데
거디다가 Ed Sheeran을 섭외하다니ㄷㄷㄷ
래퍼와 기타리스트, 전혀 어울리지 않을 것 같은 조합인데 의외로 잘 어울린다?

이번 9집 앨범 트랙 중에서 River는
우리가 아는 에미넴의 랩 스타일과 에드 시런의 잔잔한 보이스,
그리고 비교적 잔잔한 사운드가 특징이다.
개인적으로 알고 있던 에미넴의 이미지와는 다른 분위기라
노래를 들으면서도 조금 놀랄 때가 많다.

저번에 선공개로 냈던 'Walk On Water'보단 괜찮은 듯.
이번 앨범으로 새로운 시도를 한 것 같은데
그래도 이때까지 나왔던 음반들을 생각해보면 여러모로 아쉬운 9집이다.
