노르웨이에서 가장 유명하고 잘나가는 DJ이자 음악 프로듀서, Kygo.

최근 셀레나 고메즈와 엘리 굴딩 등 유명한 여성 아티스트와 콜라보했던 그가

드디어 9월 21일 Stargazing이라는 EP 앨범을 발매하게 되었다.

근데 트랙이 4개 뿐이고 그 중에서 2개는 이미 선공개를 했던 거라... 뭐 그래도 괜찮다.

드리는 소문(?)에 의하면 오는 10월달에 Kygo의 새 정규 앨범이 나온다는 소식이 있는데

카이고가 워낙 일렉씬의 거물급 DJ라서 기대하고 있는 리스너들이 엄청 많을 것이다.

필자가 포스팅하고 있는 Stargazing은 이번 신앨범의 이름이자 카이고의 신곡.

장르는 트로피컬 하우스. 팝적인 스타일이 많은 트로피컬로 보면 된다.

이번 신앨범에서 가장 마음에 드는 곡인데 참고로 이번 신앨범에서는

It Ain't Me와 First Time이 함께 수록되어 있지만 이 노래들보다 휠씬 괜찮다.

이유는 별다른건 없고 피아노 소리가 너무 좋아서..ㅎㅎ

멜로디나 사운드나 필자에게는 스타게이징이 압도적으로 좋다고 본다.

피처링을 한 사람의 정체는 미국의 팝/R&B 분야에서 활동하는 Justin Jesso.

개인적으로 이번 신보에서 이 노래를 좋아하는 이유는

단순히 피아노 소리가 좋아서, 또는 노래 스타일이 좋아서도 있지만

카이고의 몽환적인 사운드와 만나 한없이 아름다운 그의 목소리가 참으로 멋졌기 때문이다.

전반적인 곡의 멜로디와 사운드, 그리고 보컬까지

뭐 하나 부족한 느낌이 전혀 없는 완벽한 음악이라고 생각한다.
