4월 7일에 발매 예정인 더 체인스모커스의 첫 스튜디오 앨범,

Memories Do Not Open에 수록될 The One이

드디어 3월 27일에 공식 유튜브에서 공개 되었다.

(노래 제목 때문에 그런지 진짜로 "첫번째" 트랙이 되었다ㅋㅋㅋ)

이전에 공개되었던 Something Just Like This와는 다른 느낌을 선사해준다.

그전에 발매된 Paris와 분위기가 흡사한 듯?

유튜브 댓글에도 이 점을 언급하는 리스너들이 많아서

'아, 이 노래도 역시나 까이겠구나'라고 생각했지만

그래도 반응들을 보니 그렇게 심하게 까이지는 않는 것으로 보인다.

요즘 퓨처 베이스가 일렉씬을 너무 잡아먹고 있는게 보여서

개인적으로 너어어어어무 지겨워했었는데

이번 신곡은 다행히 퓨처 베이스가 아니라 다행이라고 생각된다.

(장르는 그냥 단순하게 일렉트로닉이라고 분류해놓았다.)

Paris와 비교해보자면 이번 신곡은 좀 더 스루브하고

감성적인 스타일을 추구한 것으로 보인다.

몇달 전에 발매된 Paris는 왠지 모르게 필자하고는 안맞았지만

이번 신곡은 필자가 원했던 감성적인 스타일과 딱! 맞아 떨어져 마음에 든다.
