영국 출신의 아티스트이자 거물 신인, 앨런 워커의 신곡이 공개되었다.

진짜 말 그대로 "거물급 신인"으로 평가받는 그가

아일랜드의 보컬리스트인 Gavin James와 함께 팬들 앞에 찾아왔는데

이번 신곡은 이전에 발매했던 노래들보다 많이 독특하다.

일단 그의 주요 스타일이었던 '느린 템포의 하우스'가 아닌

일반 하우스와 같은 정상적인 템포를 가졌으며

한 장르가 아니라 하우스와 퓨처 베이스를 섞은 스타일이라는 것이다.

다른 파트는 그냥 평범하고 멜로딕한 하우스인데 비해

하이라이트 부분만 퓨처 하우스를 기용해 노래에 반전을 심어주었다.

한 곡에 두가지 장르가 반복되어 나오닌 듣는 사람 입장에서는 참 신선할 따름ㅋㅋ

필자는 Alone이나 Faded처럼 그냥 느린 하우스를 더 기대했었지만

이런 스타일도 꽤 매력적인 것 같다.

이번 앨런 워커의 신곡은 그동안 자신이 고집해왔던 이미지를 벗어나

새로운 스타일을 시도해보는 도전을 뜻하는 노래인 듯 보이는데

개인적인 생각으로는 그 시도가 아주 성공적이었다고 말하고 싶다.
