미국의 DJ 듀오 체인스모커스의 Young을 리믹스한 곡이다.

Young은 The Chainsmokers의 1집 앨범에 수록된 트랙이며

네덜란드의 DJ 듀오인 Dazers가 직접 리믹스하였다고 한다.

리믹스 곡의 장르는 퓨처 하우스(Future House).

개인적으로 이번 체인스모커스의 앨범은 그다지 좋지 않았다고 생각한다.

수록된 노래들이 그렇게 마음에 안들지는 않지만

EDM/일렉트로니카 아티스트였던 줄담배 듀오가

이제는 "팝 아티스트"가 되었다고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도로

노래들이 전부 다 팝(POP)스러워졌다는 점이 마음에 들지 않을 뿐이다.

노래 자체는 들어보면 꽤 좋다. Young이나 Bloodstream, Last Day Alive만 봐도

요즘 나오는 팝 음악에 비해 전혀 꿀리지가 않는다.

다만 필자는 퓨처 베이스같은 일렉트로닉 장르의 음악을 원했을 뿐.

그런 점에서 필자에게는 원곡보다 리믹스 버전에서 좀 더 끌리는 매력을 느낀다.

단순한 팝이었던 노래가 퓨처 하우스라는 일렉트로닉 뮤직으로 탈바꿈 되었으니까.

게다가 개인적으로 퓨처 하우스 장르를 워낙 좋아하는지라

빠른 비트와 특유의 퓨처 하우스 사운드가 넘치는 리믹스 버전이 취향에 딱 맞는다.

필자처럼 퓨처 하우스를 좋아하는 분들이라면 무조건 추천하고 싶은 곡이다.
