오늘 공개된 Kygo의 새로운 신곡이자 故 Whitney Houston과의 합작곡이다.
물론 고인인 휘트니 휴스턴과 진짜로 음악 작업을 같이한건 당연히 아니고
휘트니 휘스턴의 유명한 노래 중 하나인 Higher Love를 리메이크한 버전.
근데 사실 원곡같은 경우도 원래는 Steve Winwood의 노래를 커버했던 버전이라...
스티브 윈우드의 원곡을 커버한 휘트니 휴스턴의 커버곡을 리메이크했다고 보면 된다

개인적으로 스티브 윈우드보다 휘트니 휴스턴이 불렀던 버전을 더 선호하는 편인데
이번에 카이고가 리메이크한 버전은 그야말로 현대식 EDM으로 재해석한 스타일이다
EDM/일렉트로니카를 좋아한다면 카이고식 리메이크 버전이 더 취향일 수도 있지만
그래도 원곡만의 감성은 따라오지 못하는지라 이 부분이 조금 아쉽긴 하다
